
PARENTS AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS--We must have a consultation meeting on how the school district plans to use American Rescue plan (ESSER III) funds and our plan before we can move forward with this federal program. This meeting is scheduled for Thursday, August 5 at 7:00 PM after Meet Your Teacher Night concludes. The meeting will be in the School Conference Room in the Elementary Building. Agricultural Education Courses:
All students enrolled in Agricultural Classes will be required to give a three minute prepared speech by November 18th. Parameters: Your topic must be Agriculturally Related see divisions below; You must submit a typed manuscript (double spaced; times new roman font; a separate reference page), you must use a minimum of three sources; Wikipedia will not be accepted; You will present your speech to your own class, Mr.Dunn and an Administrator. This will count for 25% of your fall semester grade.
Topics: 8th-10th grade Agriculture; 8th grade discovery; 9th grade opportunities; Ag Policy; Agribusiness; Agriscience; Animal Science; Plant Science; Natural Resources.

Agricultural Education Classes for 2021 - 2022
8th Grade: Agricultural Explorations
9th Grade: Intro. to Agriscience
10th Grade: Intro. to Power and Tech (Shop)
11th Grade: Intro. to Horticulture
12th Grade: Metals and Welding (Shop)
10th grade and 12th grade: You will need a fire resistant shirt; Jeans with no elastic or holes ( you can use coveralls that are fire resistant); close toed leather shoes (tennis shoes are not acceptable).
11th graders: We will be hosting a plant sale this year which means that we will be in the greenhouse frequently, this means don't wear clothes that you do not wish to get dirty( soil; water; compost).
Shop and Horticulture Classes: You will earn grades based upon your participation and work efforts during labs I.E.( welding, cleaning the lab, transplanting, and watering).

COYLE SOFTBALL JH/HS Starting Practice JULY 19th-23rd 5:00pm

Parents if you have NOT already enrolled your students for the 2021-2022 school year, please do so before Wednesday, July 21. In order to purchase classroom supplies, we need to have an accurate count of students. The school is only purchasing classroom supplies—crayons, markers, glue, paper, pencil, ink pens, etc. We will purchase headphones for the younger grades (PK-7th).

OSU’s Big Three Field days have been cancelled as of this morning. We start judging practices next week at some point, please watch for updates.

Attention Parents: We just received notification that the district can furnish ALL classroom school supplies for students school wide as part of the American Recovery Act. Parents will NOT need to purchase any classroom supplies this year.

Attention CHS girls interested in cheer!
We will have a "practice" mini camp for potential cheerleaders from 5-6pm on Tuesday and Wednesday (the 13th and 14th), with TRYOUTS at 5pm on THURSDAY the 15th, in the new gym.
* A cheer contract including behavior, social media, and academic expectations will be made available Tuesday evening. It needs to be signed by both student and parent/guardian and returned on Thursday.

2021-2022 SUMMER ACADEMY ENRICHMENT CLASSES WILL BE HELD JULY12-JULY 29 FROM 9:00AM TO NOON MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY. Parents will have to furnish transportation. Mrs. Ritter has contacted parents or will contact parents of students in grades K-5 if their child needs to attend. Ms. Conner and Mr. Weathers will have classes for all 8th and 9th grade students in English and Math. These classes will enhance and/or improve their skills in the respective areas. Attention FFA members: Big three field days will be July 20th - July 22nd in Stillwater. We will leave the AG building at 7:30am each day and return to Coyle between 3pm - 4:30pm, we will eat lunch at a different restaurant each day bring money for your lunch. You will not give reasons during the contest however you will give three sets to Mr. Dunn each day and we will walk through the classes after the contest. Please let Mr.Dunn know by next Monday if you are going. Also plan on judging all three days if you cannot you need to specify which day(s) you will be competing , this contest charges entry fees so it is necessary to have an accurate head count
