Middle School Engineering students are working on their popsicle stick truss bridges. They are working through the engineering design process. First, they had to research possible solutions to overcome constraints and limited resources. Students then use TinkerCAD to help plan and design their bridges. Finally, they will test their bridges and redesign them to make improvements.
This class has done, clay boats, beam bridges, index card towers. Next week, they will be building ping pong ball catapults and then we finish up their class with marble Rollercoasters made from recycled materials.

Congratulations to our two 5th grade students, Gaije Howell for being selected as student of the month and Kolt Rash for being selected as our character trait student of the month for October. Our character trait this month is Respect.
These students were presented with a certificate by school board member Chad Maker after leading the Pledge of Allegiance at the November meeting.

A BIG thank you to Generations Family Church for providing socks, leggings, and sweatpants to our Elementary/ Middle school. With cold weather approaching these items are even more appreciated. Thank you to Jennifer Wright with Generations Family Church for all of the work she has put forth to make this happen.

Troy Henning III (Trey) just graduated from the CLEET Academy on Oct. 26. He has been working at Logan County and decided to become an officer. He continues to work for the Logan County Sheriff’s Office. Congratulations Trey!

A SPECIAL THANKS TODAY TO OUR VETERANS, EMTS, FIREFIGHTERS, AND LAW ENFORCEMENT GRADUATES/STUDENTS. If you know of someone who has not been included, please email Mrs. Larman (wlarman@coyle.k12.ok.us). We tried to include students who attended at least 2 years at Coyle. This was done because during the war years, some students went to the service before graduating if they were old enough. Again we started compiling these lists last November, so please email Mrs. Larman if someone is missing as it was not our intention to leave anyone off. If you are just receiving a text message, please go to our website (https://www.coyle.k12.ok.us) or our Facebook page (Coyle Public Schools).

Thank you goes out to our two resident Veteran's that chose to be at Coyle Public Schools. Mr Gibbs is our Middle School Math teacher and Mr Lemmons is our Middle School Science teacher. Thank you for your service!
